READ MY LIPS DIY

I often find myself wishing that I could get rid of everything in my wardrobe and start over completely, but then I come back to reality and realize that isn't exactly practical. So instead of buying new things every time I'm bored with what's in my closet, sometimes you need to revamp what you already have.

I took a plain white t-shirt that, says "Babes Unite," but you could use any t-shirt that is mostly a solid color will work. The first thing I did to create a new look was crop the shirt by cutting off about 2 inches off the bottom. Then I went on Pinterest and found a print that I liked. I have been seeing the lip pattern all over when I have been online shopping and I love the flirty, feminine vibe that it gives.

To create the print on the shirt I just took a pencil and made a dot where I wanted all of the lips to be placed. Then I printed out the pattern that I wanted and made stencils by cutting out the shapes. The only other materials that you will need is sponge brushes and fabric paint.

Just place the stencil you made on the dots you drew on the shirt and sponge on the paint. After you have finished painting let it dry overnight and then it is ready to be styled and worn (the fun part!!!!).

I styled my new shirt with a black tennis skirt from American Apparel, Rayban sunglasses, sparkly socks and white sneakers both from Forever 21. I also rolled the sleeves.

This DIY is a super fun and inexpensive thing to do with a group of friends, and it is perfect if you are not the best a free-hand painting like myself because you do make your own stencils.

Thanks for reading!
