FLIGHT FOR ONE romanticizes and empowers a life in solitude. In the past and continuing present, it has been rare to see a woman take a vacation flight alone, a trip to the city on the train alone, or any other activity that one may believe is a “two or more person trip.” Women’s independence has gradually gained traction and acceptance over time, but simple experiences such as sitting alone at a restaurant are not as readily accepted.
