ROOM DECORATING IDEAS
This year I moved into my first apartment and decorating my bedroom was one of the things that I was most excited about. It was also the thing that took me the most time to do, but I am finally happy with it! With my bedroom I went with a very minimalistic vibe, incorporating a lot of white with dainty decorations.
Over my bed I created a flower wall. For this I went to a craft store and got fake flowers, twine, tape, and hooks. Then I measured out how many flowers I needed for each strand and tied them to the twine at the top of the flower. I then taped around the stem of the flower so that they would lay flat. Then I attatched them to the top of the wall with hooks. I love this DIY project because it was super simple and really ugraded the look of my room and gives it a very natural feel.
On the other wall on the side of my bed I made a collage wall. This is definitely my favorite part of my room because of how easy it was to do and the aesthetic that it creates. The first part of the collage is a strand of poloroid pictures. I just used washi tape, twine, clothes pins, and poloroids to make this. I used that same washi tape to tape up the four extra flowers that I had from the flower wall. In the middle I have a bulletin board that I put photos of friends and family, as well as magazine clippings. The print that I have on the left that says, "Make Love Not War" is super cute and simple. It is from the Des Moines farmer's market and was super cheap. The last thing on this wall is a hat of mine. I have seen tons of people use their hats as wall hangings and I love the look of this!
I had an empty corner in my room that I didn't really know what to do with, so I found this white crate at Hobby Lobby and put my record player on it. I decided to put it on it's side so that I could also use it for storage. I put my speaker, some books, and a "good vibes only" decoration on the inside.
I hope these ideas helped with bedroom decorating idea inspiration! Thanks for reading!
