All Tied Up — Olivia Kate

This past year the ankle tie up trend in sandals and heels has been everywhere. Recently the square toe shape has been added to this design. It gives it a structured and edgy look, while a pointed or rounded toe is a more girly and softer vibe.

I have been seeing fashion bloggers on all platforms style these shoes in a super-specific way by pairing them with baggy jeans or trousers and tying the straps over the pant legs to cinch them in. Doing this simple styling tactic gives you an instant “cool girl” look so easy and there are plenty of photos out there for inspiration.

I was inspired to try this out myself and have a little photoshoot. I wore my Farrah Wide Leg jeans from Aritzia, paired with a pair of dark brown suede Steve Madden shoes that I have had for years! I wore this look around my house for the day during quarantine because I loved it so much.

I pulled four of my favorite shoes in this ankle tie style that I found on REVOLVE. I would definitely look at Zara or ASOS for more affordable options as well!
